A guide to PANDORA Jewellery

Your story, Your bracelet, Your design.

PANDORA's range of beautiful hand finished Charms, Bracelets, Necklaces and Rings have all been designed with combinations in mind.
Create and combine and tell your own story.

Design your own unique PANDORA Bracelet, Bangle or Necklace choosing charms to represent your life's magic Moments and wear your bracelet as a collection of wonderful memories represented by each charm and make your moments last forever.

The strength of the PANDORA Moments Charm bracelet is in the high quality, detailed design of the unique threaded system and the beautiful hand finish of each and every piece of PANDORA jewellery.

The Classic PANDORA Moments Charm Bracelet is divided into 3 sections by small raised threads which the clips are then attached to.

Many of the charms are crafted with interior threads which allow them to thread on, then move freely and rotate slightly with your wrist's movement creating an undeniably eye catching effect. To hold the charms within each segment two clips should be placed over the two raised threads on the bracelet.

Openwork, Filigree and some Spacer Charms drop straight on to the bracelet as due to their delicate nature they are hollow to allow light to filter through. We recommend these are not the last item placed on the chain. A Safety Chain or Clip with silicone insert can also be used to secure the charms in place.

How to create your own PANDORA charm Bracelet or Necklace.

If you have any questions about how to get started with your PANDORA collection, please do not hesitate to call us on 0208 632 0246 or email us at and our experienced staff will be happy to offer help and advice.

We have put together the following guide using our years of experience of selling PANDORA and our expert team are here to help with any questions you may have and to help you make the correct choices when placing your order. We are an official PANDORA stockist selling only genuine PANDORA jewellery. All orders are packaged with Official PANDORA Packaging, and your Bracelet will come with a free PANDORA Moments Brochure (where available) for you to choose your charms from.

Think about the colours and style of jewellery you, or the person you are buying for, like to wear. This will help you to decide if a Sterling Silver, Oxidised Silver (Polished Dark Grey in colour), Leather (various colours from Black to Pearl Grey) or a 14K Gold Pandora bracelet will suit your style and colouring best.

Step 1 - Choose Your Bracelet/Necklace Style and then select your PANDORA Bracelet/Necklace length.

Once you have decided which PANDORA Bracelet or Necklace you prefer, Sterling Silver, Leather, PANDORA Rose, Gold or a combination, you then need to choose the style of clasp you would like, plain or decorative.

The PANDORA clasp fastens securely like a clam shell and looks like a PANDORA charm when closed.

Barrel Clasp Bracelets

To find your perfect bracelet size:

We suggest that you measure your wrist with a piece of string and then measure that against a ruler.
Ideally your bracelet should be 2-3cm longer than your wrist size, depending on how loose or tight you like to wear your bracelet. As you fill up your bracelet with charms, they will initially take up some of the slack, over time the bracelet may expand up to 1cm in length (this rule does not apply to the leather or bangle). Another test to see if your Bracelet is the perfect fit: Place your index and middle finger between the fastened bracelet and your wrist. If they fit perfectly then you have the ideal length.

* 19cm is the average ladies bracelet size.
* If you have chosen a Double Leather Bracelet, sizes are as follows:
* Small (35cm), the equivalent of a 17-18cm bracelet
* Medium (38cm), the equivalent of a 19cm bracelet
* Large (41cm), the equivalent of a 20-21cm bracelet

As leather is a natural product, you may notice gentle shading and natural variations; these are merely the natural features of leather. Leather bracelets may also expand slightly over time once charms are added. With Leather Bracelets we recommend that you fill your bracelet with no more than 9 charms. Leather bracelets do not require clips although if you wish to segment your charms, clips can be used with the addition of Silicone Inserts P1110 or select a clip style that already has the silicone integrated.

Step 2 - Choose Your Clips and Safety Chains

Select your PANDORA Clips (up to 2 per bracelet, optional). Clips are designed to keep your beads from sliding into the next section.

The clips are attached over the two threaded sections of your bracelet creating three equal sections and preventing your charms from "bunching up".

The clips, as with the PANDORA clasp, are opened by sliding one fingernail into the side corner of the clip's crease. To close the clip, simply pinch the sides together over the threaded section on the bracelet.

A PANDORA Safety Chain provides extra security should your bracelet become unfastened, as well as adding to your beautiful collection of charms. They are easy to attach – simply twist the beaded ends onto your bracelet as the first and last charm.

Step 3 - Choose Your Moments Charms

Mix and match your PANDORA Charms with spacers using as many as 18 charms and/or 10 spacers per bracelet. Most spacers and some charms do not have the internal threading and simply drop on to your bracelet, we suggest that you use spacers between your charms to provide some definition and help specific beads stand out a little more. Spacers allow you to give prominance to chosen beads by separating them, ensuring they don't slide together.

Keep it simple when adding colour, you can always add more at a later stage. Sticking within a colour palette creates a more subtle sophisticated look.

The beauty of PANDORA is that you can start with a few charms, adding more to mark special occasions, or just because you feel like treating yourself! To create the look you desire, attach your chosen charms by simply twisting each one on to your bracelet. Continue twisting them through until you have achieved your perfect look. Re-arranging your PANDORA bracelet is easy. Simply untwist the charms and start again. Add as many Charms as you like for a full look or just a few to allow more movement in each section. You can create an account and a list of all your purchases will be kept in your Account area, which you can log into at any time, giving you a full order history. The Wish List is a great way of remembering which Pandora charms you would like in the future and you can email your Wish List to your family and friends, dropping gentle hints to let them know which ones you would like for your next Birthday, Christmas or special occasion.

Your combination of MOMENTS is a unique celebration of who you are. It's about being true to yourself and making your Unforgettable Moments last forever.

Looking after your PANDORA Jewellery

* Gold and Silver are soft metals and will, with use, become worn and loose some of their initial lustre. This applies to all genuine jewellery.
* Depending on the degree of use, it is recommended that your jewellery is checked at least once a year by a Goldsmith.
* In particular, it is important that clasps, mounts and soldering are checked.

Protecting Your Jewellery

We recommend that customers remove jewellery before going to bed or taking part in any physical activity, which will subject the jewellery to wear and tear. Avoid contact with make-up, creams and perfumes. Do not take a bath, a shower or do the dishes when wearing genuine jewellery with pearls.

Remember that jewellery must not be exposed to chlorine or salt water, avoid swimming and hot tubs, as this makes the surface matt and dull. Try to prevent your pearls from being exposed to water and cleaning agents. Pearls must only be cleaned with a soft brush or a cloth.

Cleaning Your Jewellery

To clean your jewellery, pour a small quantity of universal cleaning agent into some lukewarm water and use a small, soft toothbrush. Toothbrushes are ideal for cleaning jewellery with intricate patterns that are difficult to clean. If the dirt is hard to remove, soak the jewellery in clean water. However, remember that this cleaning method should not be used to clean jewellery with genuine pearls or other gemstones.

A silver-polishing cloth is a great tool to make your silver jewellery shine again if the pieces have become dull. However, it will not remove scratches. Silver-polishing cloths can be purchased from us or jewellers and high street stores.

We do not recommend the use of silver polishing liquid. Oxidised (dark) jewellery does not benefit from being dipped in silver polishing liquid as it destroys the oxidisation. Pearls, too, cannot withstand silver polish, and even jewellery without oxidation can be damaged if you are not careful.

Oxidation fades with time. How quickly depends on how the jewellery is treated. Conditions that may cause the oxidation to fade include: perspiration (if you wear jewellery while engaging in sport) chlorine, perfumes, medicine that is excreted through the skin, cleaning agents and silver polish. Oxidation that fades is considered mormal wear and tear and is not a defect.

The PANDORA Bracelet does stretch. This has nothing to do with quality but a simple fact of physics. The chain, commomly known as a snake chain, is made up of small silver rings which are very tightly twisted together. As charms are added and over time as the chain 'relaxes' the Bracelet will stretch anything up to 1cm.

All enamel is Italian made without glass which makes it more durable.

PANDORA Rose is a unique metal blend of silver and copper with a layer of 14ct Rose Gold plating.
The PANDORA Rose alloy is rich in copper. Copper is a durable metal with a red tone but it tends to tarnish easily.
By plating the jewellery with 14ct rose gold, the alloy is encased to prevent tarnish from occurring and the pieces are provided with a warm pink lustre.
The delicate colour of copper-rich alloys may intensify somewhat with age due to a slight, but attractive, tarnishing of the copper.
This does not diminish from its look but in fact strengthens its beautiful, vintage appeal.
This is considered normal wear and tear and is not a defect. The unique metal blend has been extensively tested to ensure its durability.

Does my PANDORA jewellery have a warranty / guarantee?
PANDORA will repair or replace manufacturing faults free of charge up to 2 years from the original date of purchase for silver and gold jewellery. Please retain your receipt or pass it on to the gift recipient, as the original proof of purchase is the warranty. If a receipt is not available a credit card or bank statement will suffice. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Please note that parts of wood, leather, glass and string items have a warranty of one year from date of purchase.

Wearing counterfeit charms, or charms by other brands on your PANDORA bracelet could damage the unique threading system and will void the warranty.

What do I do if my PANDORA jewellery is lost or stolen?
The warranty does not entitle you to replacements or refunds for lost or stolen items. We recommend the use of safety chains on bracelets and insurance cover is advisable on all valuable jewellery. General wear and tear, misuse and tarnishing are not covered under the warranty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

My PANDORA jewellery is damaged. What should I do?
We politely request that faulty or damaged items purchased from Beadazzle are returned to us for the attention of our Repairs Department for assessment. We would advise that you contact us prior to returning goods for advice regarding correct postage methods. Can my PANDORA jewellery be repaired?

This depends on the work required and will be evaluated on assessment by an approved jeweller.

The history of the PANDORA charm bracelet

A lasting piece of jewellery

The PANDORA universe was born as result of an idea to make quality jewellery accessible to all women, by combining contemporary and feminine design with an accessible price level. Out of this vision came the idea of designing a bracelet made of genuine high quality materials with interchangeable charms – each piece telling a story that can be mixed and matched to create a truly personal look and be a lasting symbol of life’s most cherished moments.

In 2000 the unique and patented PANDORA charm bracelet was launched. It is made in both 14k gold and high quality sterling silver and can be combined with a large range of charms in both silver and gold adorned with a variety of precious stones, pearls, enamel and Murano glass. Each individual piece of the bracelet is hand-finished to meet PANDORA’s high standards of quality and craftsmanship. The concept of the PANDORA bracelet appeals to the modern woman because of the versatility and endless opportunities to create a personal piece of jewellery. The bracelet is also a great way to use one’s creativity and play with different looks to ensure an eclectic and individual style.
